I really love that picture. It just sent me back through classic art. This just inspired me to go looking for the Virgin and Child by Fouquet, which resulted in a nice trip by the history of art and the motif of the "Maria lactans"... funny how the mind works.
Did you find the shirt while doing laundry?
Was it already torn?
Who wore it first?
Where did it end up?
So many questions....
