admittedly sounds like Ages Ago but was really about two weeks, when I drove there by myself and did nothing except:
* ride the ferry twice as the only non-automotive passenger, although right before I got there, a group of 40 or so pedestrians rode the ferry for a good couple of hours (so I heard)
* photograph two strangers feeding the seagulls on the back of the boat and take a photo of a ferry-worker (at their request)
* walk to a part of the ocean where I've never seen anyone else, not one human form ever, and I've been going there for years
* step barefoot into the sea for only moment while the sun crossed below the horizon and into someone else's morning
